Elks Youth Activities Committee Report.
Now, more than ever, we as Pennsylvania Elks need to take
the initiative to promote the many youth programs sponsored by the B.P.O.Elks.
At a time when many of the government sponsored youth
programs are experiencing hardships because of decreased funding, the Elks must
take the leadership role in shaping our nation’s future.
The many programs offered by the Elks, help our youth
prepare for the future.
The Drug Awareness Program makes children aware of the
downfalls associated with drugs and alcohol.
The Soccer Shoot and Hoop Shoot programs teach our children
that hard work has its rewards.
Our scholarship programs make possible college educations
for children who otherwise would not have the opportunity to further their
education and live a better life.
The list could go on and on.
So, members, what will you do? Sit by and let someone else
do it because you do not want to get involved or be that leader that helps
shape our future.
At this time, I ask that the ER of East Stroudsburg Lodge
come forward for a presentation.
